Although the concept is fine, it doesn't apply well to a talk page. Firstly, the + at the top adds a new section by default. More importantly though, the tabs have a bug / feature in them that means that you can't have headings inside the tabs, and therefore you lose the edit links. Signature
Could you add a timestamp to your signature? The two ways to do this are either to sign off with four tildes, or include{{<includeonly>subst:</includeonly>timestamp<noinclude>|=</noinclude>}} in your signature template.
