To Edit your place, click "All Programs --> ROBLOX --> Roblox Studio" from your Start menu. This opens the Roblox Studio, which has the following advanteges to

Editing is different than Visiting in the following ways:

  • When you Edit with Studio, your character is not in the Place.
  • Time is not running. (Physics is off)
  • You can use standard editing tools like select, group, un-group and cut/copy/paste.
  • You can save your work (either a Place or a Model) to your local hard drive.
  • You can program Roblox with Lua

Roblox Studio provides the opportunity to carefully craft a Place or Model prior to Publishing on the Roblox servers. For example, to carefully edit your Place:

  • Launch Roblox Studio (It's in the Roblox tab on the Windows Start menu)
  • If necessary, log on to Roblox in the Start page.
  • Go to your Home. You will notice that beside the Visit option there is an Edit option.
  • Edit your Place.
  • If necessary, save temporary copies to your local hard drive.
  • When ready, choose "Publish to ROBLOX" from the File menu to upload your Place to your profile.
  • Help can be found under "Help" in the file menu.
