Paint Ball FAQ
The Paintball Gun was originally a weapon that is accessible through the Insert menu. This weapon is able to fire small balls that color anything they hit (as long as it isn't too large) and do some small damage to players. MikeD, who is one of the more notable players on Roblox, created a map based on this weapon and held a tournament.
Paint Ball History
The basic script made by RobloxPolice which was eventually made into the script you see today. Adapted by the Devs Q4 2007, and released into roblox as a "tool" in the Tool Box (renamed Insert). Soon after, Miked, a skilled scripter, adapted the Paint Ball gun to the gun we see today at his ✪Ultimate Paintball CTF .
On January, 6th, 2007, Miked's Ultimate Paint Ball hit a record with 100,000 place visits on it! He has many fans, and his map is almost all ways up and is still very popular. A tournament was held at the place, and the developers backed Miked, creating blog posts and keeping everyone in line. Teams were pitted against each other, and only one came out on top. <Insert team name here?>
Beginnings
Paint Ball Basic FAQ. To start you off, you might need to know how to play. (If your not completely new here you can skip onto basics Vo. 2.)To turn hold the right mouse button down, and while holding W turn it. This will make you turn while moving. Go ahead and try if at a place. These also guns. Either hit "1" on your keyboard or click on the icon to switch to the paintball gun. Now that you have your gun out, Click. That will fire. Notice the arc on the shot. Make sure to shoot with the ark in mind. But there isn't just standard fire (The one you start with.) Hit Q, a message will appear with what the weapon you selected. Sniper goes long range quickly, and has less of an arc, However it takes a long time to reload. Burst is a shot of 4 bullets, but takes 2 seconds to reload. Now that you have that down, you should try it in a practice run at the Ultimate Paintball CTF But, Your going to want to read the rest of basics before you actually try to actually win.
Points
Now that you know how you use the paint ball gun, you can learn about the goal of paint ball.The goal of Miked's Paint Ball map is to get the highest score. Score can be obtained via 3 ways. First, The flag. Each base has a flag. Capture the other teams flag and get it to your base and you'll get points! Each flag gives an amount for the amount of players on the map. So less players less points, more players more points. Second, Kills. Fire your paint ball and hit a target (enemy player) and you get 10 points. Hit an ally and you lose 8 points and the team killed player gains 8 points. Be warned, If you die you lose 4 points. Thirdly, The middle, If you stand there long enough you get 2 points, the longer you stand in the circle the faster you get those 2 points.
Aim to knockout
Now that you know about scoring, now your going to need to learn the basics of fighting! One thing to remember, you must always aim ahead of where your enemy is moving, or else you'll miss. Your enemy may jump so you might want to do the same. It takes some skill to get used to aiming ahead of your target,but once you get the hang of it you can easily take down your opponents. If you are able to make it into the enemy's base, head in front of their fort and take the flag! Run back to your own flag and touch it to score. This is the best way to get points.
Balance the team
Assault and Defense, key factors in Paint Ball! The number one thing to keep in mind is that you need to have people trying to score,and people keeping the enemy from scoring. Flags are the best way to make points if you can get them, so you want to keep it balanced. If you see too many people on your team attacking, go and defend. If there are all ready a lot defending, attack. A good balance of defense and offense is key here. Oh and, make sure to cover the river!
Be a team
Teamwork. Teamwork is another key factor for victory. Make sure to not get in the way of your allies fire. So if hes shooting at some one, don't jump in front of him. Also, try not to run behind him. First person mode activates when your too close to another brick, so coming behind some one will make them spin and not aim. When you work together,you can use tactics and skill to get more points. Players could do such things as one distracting and the other one covering. You could all ways just follow an ally around and cover him when you play. Team work will greatly increase your chance to win. Another way to play as a team would be to have a teammate who is good at attacking and a sniper hiding in the distance. The attacker will power through the other players while the sniper picks off any obstacles.
Dodge (the) Ball
The most common way to dodge is to jump. Running and jumping will lunge you. Thats a good thing to keep in mind. Try to run sideways, You'll be harder to hit! You also don't want to run straight at your enemy, It may be faster and easier to kill them that way, but remember, the same goes for them. You don't want to always run in one direction either, that wouldn't be a good idea. Try to jump around in random patterns. This will give a sniper a hard time trying to hit you.
Easy-To-Learn Tips And Tricks
1: First, never stop when in battle. You can type after you die.
2: Don't stand and jump, that doesn't work.
3: If your enemy is skilled at dodging, use standard, burst won't kill them.
4: Never leave your base alone with no one there.
5: Jump over walls; don't shoot through them.
6: If you're skilled at jumping you can get a quick vantage point by jumping on the walls.
7: Pick up fallen guns. Shooting others with their own gun confuses them and makes them TK each other.
8: With multiple guns snipe with your extras and keep one for your close range combat.
9: Use grenades as distraction fire; if you make them blow up in front of your enemy they can't see.
10: Walk sideways. If your character is side ways it will be harder to hit him then if your coming head on.
11: Get the Rocket launcher. Sometimes there is a rocket launcher in the river. This rocket launcher fires slowly but has a huge blast area. This is great for killing large groups.
