Introduction

A Spawn Location is a Brick where players enter a map and respawn if they die. If there are multiple Spawn Locations, you will respawn at a random neutral Spawn Location, unless you are on a team. Typically, Spawn Locations look like a flat brick, with an 8-pointed spiral-type shape on it. They can be any color. The maker of the map can edit Spawn Locations to his or her liking with decals and different colors.

This is what most SpawnLocations look like.

Applications of Spawn Locations

If you put multiple Spawn Locations of different colors in a level and set Team Play on, the color of the last Spawn Location you touched is your team. You can change teams at anytime by touching a different Spawn Location, and when you first enter a map, you may either be assigned a team randomly or always go to a certain Spawn Location, depending on the map settings.

In an obstacle course, Spawn Locations can act as checkpoints. When you touch one, you will restart there if you die on the way to the next one. Just be sure that, if you create a course, set all level-entry spawnings to the first Spawn Location to avoid coincidental headstarts.

Customizing spawn location bricks

The look of spawn location bricks can be customized:

  • Click insert.

  • Click Object.

  • Click Spawn Location

A rather dull looking grey brick will appear on your map. However, this is a functioning spawn location, which you can customize to your liking with cool decal, or many colors.
