You do quite a few edits...

Yeah, I decided to clean it up a little and remove outdated stuff.

Welcome to the Wiki!

Excellent work! I guess it's a little late, but Welcome to the Roblox Wiki. The main focus of it is to help people get the hang of Roblox and to learn basic code. The other idea would be to have a Function Dump, as is the section. I've been working on a Functions template, but it's a little messed up. Excellent work so far.

I was the one to add in all of the links and several templates to the Wiki. I kind of cleaned it up back when it was getting almost no use on to it. This thing still needs a bit more work. As for that Function Dump, hopefully we could get a description and instructions on how it works and how to use it.

I'll post it when I get the bugs out. I see that you have also been Categorizing things, helps for organization, but I've found that it doesn't do much for the average visitor.

Also, I assume that you are using Mozilla Firefox? It has a built in spell-checker, comes in handy for editing things.

Now, as for page policies...

  • Everything must be allowable by the Community Guidelines, or it is to be edited/removed.
  • People don't get their own pages. That's what the User Page is for.
  • Delete Spam instantly.
  • JacobxxDuel, Gamer3D, Me, Telamon, and now you are all people who come on every couple of days. More or less, we could be the moderators/maintainers.
  • I worked hard to get the Wiki to flow. I really like a web site that can flow. Each page has to link to something else, with the catUp|<up page> preferred.

Ex:

That's pretty much it. Try to keep with the red theme. If you are code savvy, really really code savvy, you could take a look at tweaking the CSS for the entire Wiki. I'll find the link for you.

I hope that you can bring some good ideas to the Wiki, and finally really get it working nicely. Ask Telamon or I if you have any other ideas or questions.

Welcome!

Yeah, I'm thinking about making a model dump and code repository where all the stuff is held. That and updating everything so people don't get confused and adding some content here and there are my big goals.

Excellent goals to work for. As soon as I get some free time (read: Sunday) I'll work on that Function template.

Also, four tildes (~) will sign your comment.

Since I'm new to Roblox, I learned how to use Studio and the website from Telamon and co, while taking notes on the questions I asked and the thought process I followed so that I could include the questions in the FAQ or in a tutorial. That way, the most natural questions or holes in the docs should be handled.

Hey Clockwork.Good job removing the outdated stuff.

This is posted from Telamon's talk page. If you're intresed, please respond.

  • Wiki needs to be upgraded:
    • <math>Math doesn't work</math> Example: <math>5+5</math>
    • The Wanted pages list is faulty.
    • Spam gets by to easily.
    • Inappropriate pictures and spam raids could easily take this thing (The Wiki) down.
  • Plus:
    • MrDoomBringer isn't always here, this creates a large list of spam pages needing to be destroyed.
    • Just to add to the above, things like the Help Center and FAQ need to be more flexable rather than locked. TUTORIALS DO GET CREATED VERY FAST!
